Marie-Jeanne brings to her coaching 25-plus years of combined experience in the C-Suite and as an advisor to executives at fast scaling and established organizations – in the US and internationally. She helps rising stars and founders rapidly build leadership skills, and more seasoned leaders refine their presence and boost their impact during critical transitions.
Her approach blends the latest in neuroscience with a hands-on behavioral skills methodology. The outcome for leaders: powerful authentic leadership – built on the “inside” and delivered on “outside.” She is known for a compassionate yet also dynamic and direct style. Her own experience in the C-Suite ensures a focus on measurable business outcomes. At the same time, her coaching allows leaders to have the “space to breathe”, and the conversations they can have nowhere else.
Marie-Jeanne’s leadership roles have encompassed signature initiatives in the C-suite at TriNet, including meteoric growth and an IPO run, and at Robert Half International as head of corporate communications. Prior, she was a recognized national journalist, writing about venture capital and fast-growth companies, and a Silicon Valley pioneer in early web media.
Her clients have included the likes of GoogleX, Facebook, Uber, SAP, Dropbox, Coinbase, Webflow, Hingehealth, Turo, Swiss Innovation Center, Canadian Consulate, Stanford University, Wells Fargo, Ximedica, Gilead, Genentech. She also works with intact teams or cohorts of peer leaders to build greater competence, trust, impact; and with leadership groups seeking high-output and highly engaging strategic meetings and offsites.
Marie-Jeanne graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Political Science. She holds certifications from New Ventures West for coaching and from UC Berkeley for HR Training and Development, as well as multiple assessments, including MBTI and the Enneagram. Marie-Jeanne is also one of the first 100 consultants worldwide trained over a year-long period to teach the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Program, Google’s most popular program. Her writing has been published in business school textbooks and the New York Times.
Marie-Jeanne is known for her contagious energy and commitment to community building. She is a longtime YMCA board member, and teaches mindfulness to youth and elder caregivers. She loves hiking, nature, dancing and dark chocolate, and finds her best teachers in her immediate family – two multi-racial teenagers and her elderly immigrant parents – all affectionately known as her in-house “Zen Masters.”
