Dr. Mira Brancu is an executive coach, facilitator, consultant, author, and speaker with 20+ years of experience in healthcare and academia, including an award-winning leadership career at the US Department of Veterans Affairs and a faculty appointment at Duke University. She has worked with hundreds of leaders and their teams within healthcare, academic, research and other learning and innovation industries providing the streamlined strategic advising and tailored growth tools needed to lead well today and prepare to navigate future challenges. This includes specialties in developing inclusive high-performing leadership teams within a hybrid work environment.
Mira is a contributor for Psychology Today and Thrive Global and author of Millennials Guide to Workplace Politics. She has lived in North Carolina, where she currently lives, Maryland, New York, and Romania, where she was originally born and raised until age six.
Mira’s diverse 20-year career background working with children, parents, and teachers as a school counselor; with veterans and mental healthcare as a psychologist; with leaders at all levels as an organizational development consultant and coach; along with her experience emigrating from Romania to the United States has led to strengths in broad perspective-taking and a razor-sharp understanding of human behavior and group dynamics, creating calm in some of the most challenging situations, and helping people create sustainable change effectively using data-driven insights.
Mira has received several awards for her mental health research and for her corporate philanthropy efforts focused on under-served and under-represented women, as well as awards for leadership and management, including an Early Career Woman Psychologist in Management award and a Top 50 Influential Women in the Triangle award.
