Tonushree Mondal brings to AIIR over 20 years of global experience working with senior leadership teams in improving organizational effectiveness. She is a recognized strategic partner providing practical, business-relevant HR solutions across industry segments and geographies. Her focus areas include Talent Strategy, Culture and Leadership Development, Career Pathing and Organization Design, Talent Review and Succession Planning, Competency Development, Performance Management, Change Management, Leveling, and Compensation structure design.
Prior to joining AIIR Consulting, Tonushree was the SVP/ Head of Talent at the Hudson’s Bay Company (Saks 5th Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Off Fifth, HBC) where she was responsible for Talent Management, Leadership Development, Change Management, and Communications. During her stay at HBC, her team helped design and roll out a new common culture for the newly integrated organization, a new performance management and talent review process, and three leadership programs for the organization’s top three levels.
Prior to HBC, Tonushree was the North American Practice Leader of the Leadership & Organization Performance business at Mercer Consulting and a partner in the firm. In this role, she led a team of partners and associates specializing in the areas of CEO/ Board Effectiveness, Leadership Development, HR Transformation, and Talent Management. She spent fifteen years at Mercer working closely with senior leaders in large global companies across a number of different industries on various issues of talent strategy and execution. Her clients include Verizon, MasterCard, Kimberly Clark, DropBox, Tata Communications, Unilever, AB-InBev, MasterCard, Fidelity Investments, Johnson & Johnson, Wyeth, Pfizer, Hess, Verizon, Infosys, and the World Food Program.
At the onset of her career in Mercer, she spent five years in Asia helping clients on a wide array of talent and rewards projects. She specifically worked with large multi-national companies with local operations in Asia, as well as local clients trying to expand their business globally. Her early career started off as an HR Business Partner in a large manufacturing organization where she gained hands-on experience in recruitment, training, industrial relations, and business partnering.
Tonushree has an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur – India’s top business school – and a graduate degree in Economics from Jadavpur University. She has published articles in WorkSpan and HRPS, as well as spoken at WorldatWork, HRPS, and the HR Tech Conference.
