Michael J. Jabbour is an award-winning, multi-published professional with a unique combination of passion for people, business outcomes, and technological skills. Known for his strategic and direct approach, Dr. Jabbour possesses extensive experience driving growth and converting business challenges into opportunities. Transforming traditional businesses to digital entities, he is a demonstrated thought leader in the implementation of artificial intelligence, human-centered design, and agile development. With excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical skills, Dr. Jabbour collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, serves as a trusted business partner, and works cross-functionally to meet – and exceed – organizational goals.
Dr. Jabbour is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer for the NYC Department of Education, and has been actively engaged in enterprise transformation work for more than 20 years. As an Advisory Board member, Dr. Jabbour plays an essential role in the development of AIIR's industry leading technology platform, Coaching Zone®. Dr. Jabbour holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Jabbour spearheaded the high complexity technology and operations municipal mergers for the City of New York creating new capabilities for human centered design, an Agile innovation culture, cloud and mobile first strategy, and technology plans that won $1.2B+ in new funding. He has managed technology, infrastructure, telecommunications, and business innovation for NYC’s Departments of Health and Mental Hygiene, Homeless Services, Human Resources Administration, and Education. Dr. Jabbour also built various products and critical services supporting 170,000+ internal users across 2,500 sites, and more than 2 million external users.
