
Dayna Patterson MBA
Dayna is passionate about leadership development and change. She has engaged as a leadership
consultant, coach and facilitator since 2007. Her personal mission is to help others achieve their full
potential.
Dayna has facilitated more than 2,000 sessions in a variety of soft skill areas with a specific expertise in
virtual facilitation. Her work spans a wide range of industries and company sizes, working with
employees at all levels of the organization. She has also taught more than 50 courses at York University
in the following subject areas- strategy, organizational theory and design and finance. Her sessions go
beyond the traditional material – igniting ideas in her participants, and inspiring action.
As a leadership development coach, Dayna is most skilled at coaching leaders in executive presence,
brand management, coaching skills, courageous conversations and performance management. Her
coaching style is challenging, yet empathetic. She is results-focused which was instilled in her youth
through 17 years of experience as a competitive swimmer, competing at both the national and
international levels. One of her natural strengths is empathy and when combined with her disciplined
focus on results, she provides a safe space for reflection and action planning.
Dayna’s background includes numerous years of corporate finance experience with Scotiabank and Bank
of Montreal. Her work included complex transactions and the management of a portfolio of upper mid-
market commercial clients exceeding $400 million. She had several roles over the years including the
responsibility for business development, structuring new credit facilities, financial analysis and
presentations.
