John Rogener MA
John Rogener is a certified executive coach and talent development professional with extensive global experience working in Fortune 500 companies. He uses his coaching expertise and 30 years corporate experience to help clients make positive behavioral changes so they can positively impact their teams, their organizations and their business results.
His coaching experience includes one on one, group and sales coaching. His coaching style is a supportive one that enables leaders to take more personal and professional risks in order to expand their skills and knowledge, to coach their staff and to drive stronger business results.
John is a volunteer coach for long term unemployed at Rutgers University New Start Career Network. He specializes in Resilience, Mindfulness and using updated networking and interview techniques to increase the number of second and third interviews and job offers.
John’s previous business experience includes VP of Global Learning and Talent Development for BNY Mellon’s Investment Management business. He has also held similar senior level roles at Morgan Stanley/MSCI Barra, US Trust, and Citigroup. In addition to John’s experience in senior level positions, he served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University, and spent 14 years as an adjunct professor at New York University where he was granted their prestigious Award for Teaching Excellence.
Specializing in group, individual coaching and sales coaching, he has coached business managers to lead their advisory teams through the new challenges in the high net worth client space; relationship managers to lead staff to adopt new sales strategies; Inside and Strategic Sales teams from a Data Analytics firm to increase close rates and MBA graduates to leverage their degrees to promote and advance in their careers.
John is a member of the National Association for Talent Development (ATD) and is President Emeritus and member of the ATD NYC chapter. He coauthored an article entitled, “Address Learning Needs, Not Wants,” and has presented at professional organizations on topics such as Management and Leadership Development and Communicating Across Diverse Cultures. John completed his Executive Coaching certification from New York University and is certified in DiSC, Myers Briggs, Coaching Mindset Index, Lominger 360, Hogan, Team Effectiveness Survey and worked with Birkman Personality Method and StrengthsFinder. He has a Master’s Degree and Advanced Graduate Studies in Rehabilitation Counseling from Assumption College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Marist College.
