Judy Wade MS

Judy Wade brings thirty years of leadership development experience to the AIIR Team. She has experience working in a variety of business settings and has coached leaders at all levels. She most recently worked at Anthem, a Fortune 50 company, where she held a variety of roles in Human Resources over a period of 14 years. Some of those roles included managing executive development, leading enterprise-wide succession planning, directly supporting C-suite talent management, providing individualized coaching to senior executives, building out an internal coach program, and sourcing external executive coaches.
Prior to joining Anthem, Judy worked at Sallie Mae for nine years managing teams responsible for leadership development, Organizational Development consulting, and call center training. Her early career included leadership development and internal consulting at a regional bank, as well as building development programs at a large family-owned retailer.
As an executive coach, Judy encourages self-direction and independence. Her coaching style is outcome-focused and adaptive to changing personal and business objectives. Her coaching style is to provide clear and continual feedback coupled with change-provoking assignments; challenge thinking patterns, assumptions, and self-limitations in order to build self-awareness and emotional intelligence; and keep the leader accountable for behavior, decisions, and agreed upon actions. Through listening with presence, humor, engaging conversation, and a balance of empathy and push, Judy applies her understanding of human and organizational behavior directly to her work with clients.
Judy completed her Bachelor’s degree in Management at Indiana Wesleyan University and her Master’s degree in Adult Learning and Organization Development at Indiana University. Judy is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through the College of Executive Coaching, a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC) through Advantage Coaching & Training, and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is also certified in Hogan leadership assessments, advanced applications of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and various 360 assessment tools.
