Marie Leithauser MS, MBA
Marie Leithauser is a trained scientist and brings to AIIR nearly 20 years of experience as a senior leader in Pharmaceutical R&D. She served as Chief of Staff for the head of Research at Bristol-Myers Squibb where she was a key contributor to business strategy development and was responsible for operational planning.
Marie has experience in organizational restructuring, talent management, integration of acquired biotech companies, executive communication, stakeholder engagement, change management, process optimization, and navigating complex matrixed organizations.
She is a confidante to senior leaders and a sought-after mentor. Marie has seen firsthand the impact that senior leaders have on their organizations and appreciates the importance of a solid and well-communicated strategy, efficient and effective operations, and authentic and thoughtful leadership.
During a coaching engagement, Marie facilitates the development of the client’s personal vision in the organizational context, helps the client gain a clear view of their current state (including strengths and challenges), and assists with the creation of an action/development plan. Marie believes in coaching the whole person and feels it is important for the client to be able to articulate their values and strengths, to apply them to situational challenges, and to develop a unique, authentic leadership style. Marie brings warmth, respectfulness, confidence, and open-mindedness to her coaching practice. She possesses a keen ability to grasp complex concepts quickly and challenge assumptions.
Marie earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Wayne State University, MS in Oncology from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and MBA from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Marie is a graduate of Duquesne University’s Professional Coaching Certification program and is ACC certified by the International Coach Federation. In addition, she holds certification in the Hogan Assessments as well as CMI (Coaching Mindset Index).
