With more than two decades of experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness and executive coaching, Martin has broad experience partnering with senior executives across business lines and executing talent strategies that strengthen the bench of ready-now successors and readiness for next-level leadership for critical roles throughout various organizations. Prior to his full-time capacity as a coach, Martin was Vice President of Leadership Acceleration for Comcast. In this capacity, Martin led the strategy for high- potential talent development from frontline employee through to senior executive level; he personally managed innovative challenge/growth program experiences for the director/ above population of high potentials.
In other periods of his tenure at Comcast, Martin led a diverse team who managed the full portfolio of development programs for both high potential talent and incumbent talent in critical roles, across a portfolio of over twenty programs. Martin was promoted to Vice President in 2015, prior to which he served as Executive Director of High Potential Talent Development since 2010. Previously, Martin was the Director of Comcast University in the Keystone Region of Comcast’s Northeast Division. In this role, he was focused on learning and organizational development work supporting the Field Operations/Engineering, Comcast Business, Customer Care, Leadership, and Sales functions.
Prior to joining Comcast in 2007, Martin worked at Verizon, where he started in 1998 as an Account Manager in the Business Solutions Group. In 2005, he was named National Manager of Data/IP Proficiency and Training and was responsible for all business unit training requirements of the Verizon/MCI merger. In this position, he planned, project-managed, and executed a major upgrade and platform migration for a Learning Management System.
Martin is active in the community as well. He has served on the Managing Human Capital Advisory Committee of the Haub Business School at Saint Joseph’s University and on the Employer Advisory Board of the College of Liberal and Professional Studies in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He also has volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, providing leadership training for their National Camping School, and he has served as Chairperson of the Parish Council for his church. In addition, Martin has served as Secretary of the Board of Directors of Face to Face Germantown, a non-profit that offers dignity, compassion and a sense of community to neighbors in need within the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA.
Martin is a certified facilitator of several world-renowned assessment instruments, including Korn Ferry Leadership 360°, Korn Ferry Assessment of Leadership Potential, The Birkman Method®, and the Bates Executive Presence Index (ExPI™️). Additionally, he is accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Martin earned his master’s degree in organizational dynamics from The University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor of arts degree (magna cum laude) in social sciences from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA.
