Ron Ettinger MS
Ronald brings to AIIR over thirty years of experience as an executive coach specializing in the areas of Organizational Development and Talent Management. Ron’s expertise in organizational and culture change derives from his background as an officer in a publicly-traded company as well his training in Clinical Psychology. Ron has worked as both an internal and external coach with emerging leaders in various industries.
Most recently, Ron has served as an officer and senior HR executive of a publicly traded specialty chemical company. Ron’s background in business allows him to understand the corporate environment of today’s leaders. In his role as an HR Executive, Ron authored various programmatic approaches to talent development. He remains a skilled practitioner and strong advocate for developing individual potential within the corporate context.
Prior to Ron’s tenure as an HR Executive, he spent most of his career working in both public and private corporations holding positions as a manager and executive. In addition, Ron has acquired extensive international experience through managing global coaching networks. This has allowed him to successfully work with a multicultural talent base.
Ron has also worked in the energy sector, specifically with energy utilities. As both a manager and consultant in this field, he has built his coaching experience with a focus on enhancing leadership effectiveness and developing high potential talent. In the midst of industry deregulation and an increasingly competitive energy market, Ron’s work enabled leaders to create sustainable cultural shifts and a competitive mindset needed to position the corporation for early business success.
Ron is formally trained in Clinical Psychology and practiced as an Individual and Family Therapist for over a decade. He holds Bachelors of Science and Masters degrees in Psychology with a specialty in Family Therapy from Hahnemann University and Hospital. Ron is certified in a number of assessment tools such as the Hogan, Korn Ferry’s viaEdge, Heindrick Struggles LAQ, and MBTI. He has also received training in Blanchard’s Situational Leadership, various approaches to change management and team effectiveness, development and utilization of 360 tools, and has attended the Dynamics of Organization program at University of Pennsylvania. His current work as an executive coach incorporates clinical methodologies and applies them to the corporate context.
Ron’s background in psychology underpins his current work with executives and high potential leaders. Blending the tenants of human behavior with his strong, pragmatic understanding of the dynamics of the corporate environment has made him extremely effective in coaching those interested in optimizing their effectiveness and accelerating their careers as senior leaders.
Ron is a long-standing member of both the National Human Resource Planning Group and Philadelphia Society of People and Strategy. He also serves on the Board Directors for a cancer research foundation.
