Dr. Geetu Bharwaney is a seasoned C-Suite executive coach and senior consultant who works to develop leaders who are critical to the success of today’s organizations. As the founding director of one of the first companies entirely focused on emotional intelligence coaching, research, development and ROI evaluation, Geetu has a strong track record of delivering highly-successful and results-oriented coaching programs. She brings to AIIR 27 years of extensive experience in coaching and developing organizational leaders. The performance and team effectiveness changes that she enables through her coaching become visible to stakeholders, peers, and subordinates in the organization and consistently deliver clear, measurable outcomes and a positive ROI for both client and sponsoring organization.

An internationally-respected and recognized thought leader and speaker, Geetu has published numerous papers and chapters on emotional intelligence, and her latest book ‘Emotional Resilience: how to be agile, adaptable and always perform at your best’ (Pearson: London, 2015) is the first definitive, comprehensive and practical guide that deeply explores the subject of emotional resilience.
Her work is recognized by global clients across a broad spectrum of industries (global technology, manufacturing, retail, financial services, healthcare, I.T., pharmaceutical, military, oil and gas etc.) and include FTSE 100, Fortune 50 companies, government agencies and service providers, sports associations and public-private partnerships.
Geetu is Hogan qualified, trained in Behavioural Coaching, and qualified in a range of emotional intelligence survey tools including her own Emotional Resilience Awareness Survey. Her M.Sc. focused on the Psychology of Health (City University, 2005) and her Undergraduate degree was in International Business and Modern Languages (Aston University, 1989). Geetu was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Science (DSc) for her unique contribution to the understanding and application of emotion in business.
She is a Practitioner member of the Ei Consortium (founded by Daniel Goleman and Richard Boyatzis to advance research and the application of emotional intelligence in organizations) and an EMCC International Standards for Mentoring and Coaching Programmes (ISMCP) Assessor and Consultant. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel & Development (CIPD), and a qualified trainer of three pioneering accreditations in coaching tools, including AIIR’s Coaching Mindset Index (CMI).
