Rebecca Romano

Rebecca Romano is SVP, Global Talent Development with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations build high-performing cultures, develop leaders, and navigate change. As the leader of NBCUniversal’s Global Talent Development organization, Rebecca partners across the company’s diverse portfolio of businesses and functions to shape enterprise-wide talent management, leadership, and employee engagement strategies and deliver industry-leading learning and development
experiences.

Upon joining NBCUniversal, Rebecca and her team led the design and launch of the first ever uniquely NBCUniversal global corporate university. The Talent Lab – now with physical locations in New York, LA, and London, incorporates leadership and media and entertainment curriculum across all levels of employees, with an emphasis on leadership transition, high potential experiences, and building media knowledge and capability for the future.

Rebecca’s career spans media and entertainment, financial services, healthcare, and insurance. Prior to NBCUniversal, she served as the Learning and Leadership Development Executive for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch U.S. Wealth Management, leading talent strategy, succession planning, assessment, and leadership pipeline initiatives. She began her career at Korn Ferry, specializing in executive selection, assessment, and coaching.

Rebecca holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a B.A. from Ohio University. She serves on the Board of READ 718, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit advancing literacy and educational equity for young people, and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and twin daughters.
