Alex Yaroslavsky is an executive coach with 20+ years of coaching, teaching, and mediation experience. His industry experience includes financial services, non-profits, pharmaceuticals, construction, and higher education. Alex builds trusted partnerships with senior leaders to help them create highly effective and collaborative teams. His coaching enables clients to receive and act on honest feedback, effectively read their audience, speak with executive presence, and successfully navigate difficult conversations.
In his most recent position, Alex was Vice President of Corporate Learning and Development at JPMorgan Chase, where he worked with the Legal, Corporate Responsibility, and Corporate Communications leadership to provide professional development opportunities for management and staff. In his role, Alex created a course on managing challenging conversations, which he delivered in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Having lived in Asia and Europe, Alex has a global perspective on cross-cultural communication. Immersion in new languages and cultures has taught him the importance of tone and body language, as well as how to speak directly, diplomatically, and effectively.
Alex is an experienced facilitator and trainer, comfortably leading groups of 100+ participants. He is also a successful conflict resolution expert, having taught many mediators and resolved hundreds of disputes.
Alex has been teaching courses in mediation, facilitation, and dispute resolution since 2006 and has trained over 1000 students. He sits on the Rutgers University User Experience Advisory Board and teaches a capstone course in Workplace Conflict Resolution at Baruch College in NYC.
Alex is an arbitrator at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and mediator with the New York Supreme Court. He is also one of a handful of mediators certified by the New York State Dispute Resolution Association.
