With 23 years of experience in large global companies, Carol Yang has an in-depth understanding of the nuances required to lead effectively in complex global organizations. Prior to being an Executive Coach, she spent most of her corporate career leading geographically and culturally diverse global and regional teams to develop successful brand-building strategies for globally recognized brand names in multibillion-dollar Fortune 500 companies.

Carol adopts a purpose-centered and strengths-based approach to her coaching, helping clients connect with and leverage the core elements inherent within them to succeed. Clients appreciate her genuine warmth, relatability and ability to ask tough questions. Carol leverages her strong strategic thinking to help clients cut through to the real issues at hand. She is known for helping clients quickly connect the dots to synthesize new insightful learning leading to transformative thinking and behaviors.

As Vice President of Global Marketing for The Timberland Company, she led the total transformation of their global brand strategy resulting in a successful turnaround of declining revenues. To achieve this, Carol navigated a matrix decision-making structure to secure commitment across functional and geographical leadership while leading a large team of internal and external resources to bring this to fruition.

Carol’s other experiences include senior leadership positions with Procter & Gamble. While based in Japan, she was the Acting GM for one of their established brands and she led the Asia Regional Marketing Strategic Planning function for a core category. She was also previously Vice President of Global Marketing for one of the world’s top 5 shipping and logistics companies.
