Ms. Carter, a renowned corporate affairs executive, coach, and career strategist, brings over 30 years of diverse experience to AIIR. As a self-empowerment artist, she is committed to helping people with strategies to bring their baddest, boldest selves to everything they do. Ms. Carter is passionate about helping individuals and organizations succeed, and her mission spans work, play, and community. Having worked in retail, finance, consumer brands, and entertainment, Ms. Carter's background uniquely positions her to offer strategic counsel.
Prior to launching her coaching practice, Ms. Carter was a Vice President with PepsiCo, where she led communications for human resources and diversity. Ms. Carter is also the former VP of Global Diversity and Community Affairs for Starbucks.
Ms. Carter combined her passion for philanthropy and communications to launch innovative community and volunteer programs for UBS and Burson-Marsteller. Ms. Carter also managed corporate marketing campaigns during her 12-year tenure with General Electric and served as a Senior Vice President of Communications at GE Capital.
Ms. Carter is a Board Member Emeritus for the University of New Haven and a former Director for the Southwestern Connecticut chapter of the Urban League. Her past service includes being Chairwoman of the Committee for the Association of National Advertisers and a member of the corporate council for Hands On Network.
Ms. Carter's influential presence has been recognized by Black Enterprise, Fast Company, and Savoy Magazine, ranking her among the top 100 influential African American women in corporate America. With her exceptional track record and dedication, Ms. Carter continues to leave an indelible mark in her field.
