Jonathan Burman brings to AIIR over 25 years of Organizational Development, Leadership, Human Resources, and Talent Management experience. As a consultant and employee he has worked with such firms as CIGNA, MASCO Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, and Koch Industries. Most recently he was the VP of Talent Acquisition & Development for Mondi Group, a global paper, packaging, and managed forestry company headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Currently he is a Performance Consultant for Emory University and in addition to coaching leaders for the major employers in the Atlanta area he teaches courses on strategy, leadership, executive presence, innovation, emotional intelligence, finance, operations, team effectiveness, change and performance management.

As part of CIGNA’s Executive Resources team, Jonathan managed the global succession planning program and conducted over 50 round table discussions to assess employee performance and potential. He also co-managed the Eagle Lodge Assessment Center designed to assess and develop leadership potential through experiential exercises, case studies, and videotaped performance. In addition to this in-depth succession planning experience, Jonathan has designed systems and processes for other companies (ex., Barnabas Health Care, MASCO Corporation, Mondi Group) to assess skills, readiness, and risk for over 20,000 employees.

Jonathan has tremendous depth in leadership development, from the scoping and instructional design of programs all the way down to facilitation and coaching. This program was delivered to 265 international leaders throughout the European Union and North America and was further sustained through coaching using Center for Creative Leadership’s 360 Benchmarks program. To date, Jonathan has created 128 instructor-led and online training and development programs and has several operations and development models copywritten such as 3D Leadership©, CrowdThink©, TRIP Performance Coaching©, and JUICE Neuroscience of Influence©.

In addition to his leadership development expertise, Jonathan facilitated organization-wide employee opinion/engagement surveys at Barnabas Health Care, MASCO Corporation, and Mondi Group totaling over 40,000 employees. These surveys resulted in follow up focus groups, pulse surveys, and coaching with leaders on how to use the feedback to create improvement plans.

For his entire career Jonathan has been focused on creating purpose, productivity and growth through leadership alignment and accountability. As an executive coach Jonathan has worked with many leaders in Fortune 500 companies to increase leadership capability, executive presence, and productivity.
