Her coaching is enriched by her training and experience in clinical psychology and research settings. Meaningful and lasting change is not easy. Maria is skilled in assessing, identifying, and helping leaders overcome internal barriers that hold them back from reaching their full potential.
Dr. Maria’s approach to coaching is based on cognitive behavioral models, incorporating the latest developments in mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into her work. These are evidence-based frameworks that have been demonstrated to be effective in promoting workplace productivity and wellbeing. Maria targets clear, measurable goals and provides training in skills to reach and sustain them. As a psychologist, coach, and consultant, Maria has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. She has a warm and direct coaching style that fosters trust, acceptance, and change, as well as accountability.
Maria obtained a M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada), where she earned three Ph.D. excellence scholarships. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and made several presentations in international congresses. Maria is passionate about helping individuals and teams enhance their potential for productivity, fulfillment, and wellbeing.
