Rhonda Gutenberg brings over 30 years’ coaching and consulting experience to AIIR. She partners with clients to develop and deliver a breadth of talent management solutions, including coaching, assessment, and team development. She has worked primarily with multinational organizations, across a wide range of industries and functions. While the bulk of her work in recent years has been with senior level executives, she also has helped younger and less-experienced leaders.
Most of her clients are high potential individuals who are being groomed to advance or executives who are already at the top of their organizations. She has particular interest and strength in working with individuals attempting to unleash their innovative talents, regardless of industry. Clients report that they are able to open up to her and share things that they do not – or can not – do with others. They feel she understands their issues, asks powerful questions to get them to think and reflect, and helps them generate greater self-awareness. Her style is practical, flexible and trust-inducing.
With extensive global experience as a leadership coach and consultant, she has lived in the US, England and China and has worked throughout the world, especially Asia. She spent 11 years as a management consultant in Shanghai (through 2017), including opening and heading the office for YSC, a British consultancy. Prior to YSC she held senior positions at consulting firms including Personnel Decisions International (now Korn Ferry), Gantz Wiley Research (now Kenexa, an IBM company), Development Dimensions International and Mercer. She also ran her own consulting business and had an in-house, corporate role at Wells Fargo Bank in California. She was adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota and University of California, Berkeley.
