Rick Hartwig is a certified executive coach, leadership coach, and founder of Leadership Fluency. With more than 20 years of experience in leadership, high-tech marketing, and communications, Rick helps organizations develop influential leaders that drive results. With his insightful and entertaining style, Rick empowers executives to identify challenging behaviors, overcome limiting beliefs, and increase their confidence to be significantly more impactful with their teams – from hallway conversations to boardroom discussions. One of Rick’s greatest strengths is his ability to leverage his deep corporate, technical, and marketing expertise to develop strong rapport with senior executives and help clients uncover their own insights that are both inspiring and actionable. Rick has worked with executives across the globe and with companies ranging from disruptive start-ups to industry heavyweights including Google, Pinterest, Salesforce, Motorola, Merck, Intel, VMWare, Blackberry and more. Prior to creating Leadership Fluency, Rick held positions such as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Corporate Marketing for small and mid-sized companies in the tech industry. He has been a company officer during intense acquisition transactions. He also led the product-marketing strategy for the global Android product portfolio at Motorola and oversaw large teams responsible for marketing all smartphones sold through mobile operator channels such as AT&T and T-Mobile. Rick is a Certified Professional Coach with College of Executive Coaching, and a Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation. He received his MBA with a focus on organizational behavior and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management and his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The University of Illinois. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two young children and enjoys music and a variety of fun family activities.
