Stephen Sheehy has been partnering with executives for over 25 years to strengthen leadership capability and impact business results. As an executive coach and organizational consultant, he has worked with leaders in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, across a wide array of industry sectors and business functions.
Clients recognize the value of Stephen’s extensive corporate experience supporting leaders, teams and organizations. He has held key leadership roles in several Fortune 500 companies including AstraZeneca, Exelon Corp, CIGNA, etc. Most recently, he served as VP, HR for Day & Zimmermann. His work in leadership and organizational development has included work with C-suite executives and business unit leadership teams on talent assessment, succession planning, high potential executive development and team development. Throughout his career he has been viewed as a trusted business partner, advisor and coach to senior executives.
Stephen has coached leaders across a wide range of industries, including Financial Services, Biotech, Manufacturing, Technology, Healthcare, Energy, and Professional Services. His coaching clients range from senior executives sharpening their edge as they implement business strategy, to leaders assimilating into new roles and high potentials seeking leadership skills and insights to increase readiness and impact. He has extensive experience in helping leaders align and drive strategy execution, effectively lead large change, and accelerate the development of teams and individual talent. His work has a strong bias toward moving from “insight to action” to produce accelerated and measurable individual and business impact.
Going beyond the typical focus on “skills and tools”, Stephen has the leader focus on “how he/she shows up in the world”…how language, emotions, and body presence serve or hinder from attaining desired results. Each coaching engagement is approached with great respect for the leader and his/her talent, and the aim of creating a safe environment for leadership insight, courageous dialogue, and action.
Stephen earned his leadership coaching certification from Georgetown University and Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He holds a Master of Social Work degree from Smith College and Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University of New Orleans. Stephen is certified in numerous psychometrics assessment tools like Hogan, Leadership Circle Profile (LCP), Korn Ferry’s Voices® 360°, Emotional Quotient 360 (EQ 360), MBTI® and Team Diagnostic™.
