Biography

Tim is a seasoned consulting psychologist and executive coach with over 30 years of experience in HR leadership, culture transformation, and delivering development solutions for individuals and teams. His mission is to enhance self-awareness, foster perspective-taking, and promote creative thinking to increase psychological flexibility. Tim believes that these skills are essential for making sound decisions and improving collective performance in complex, evolving environments.

As both a team coach and one-on-one executive coach, Tim designs and facilitates programs that build psychological safety, promote engagement through well-being and purpose, and strengthen capabilities to drive performance. He draws on a diverse range of evidence-based models from HR, adult education, psychology, and coaching. These frameworks are combined with goal-setting, solutions-focused thinking, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to cultivate productive behaviors. His coaching style strikes a balance between trust and challenge, delivered with humor and care.

Before transitioning to executive coaching, Tim held senior HR leadership roles, including Chief People Officer at AGC Finance, The Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), and Macquarie University. He has also served as President of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for Australasia and continues to serve on its board. A sought-after speaker on coaching and leadership, Tim regularly contributes to industry events and the regional press. He also serves on advisory committees in the education sector and contributes to drafting the Australian Coaching in Organizations standard as part of Standards Australia.

In his personal life, Tim advocates for balance and well-being. He finds joy and connection as a drummer in a rock band, performing exclusively for charity fundraisers.
