Since 2005, True has worked as an executive coach for clients ranging from C-suite and senior leaders to middle managers and as a leadership development facilitator, supporting the leadership development journeys of leaders globally. True is driven by service orientation, fueling his passion for supporting leaders as they strengthen the resiliency, strategic prowess, problem-solving acumen, and influential communication capability that enable them to reach their targets and actualize their visions for their development as leaders.
A graduate of the Thunderbird School of Global Management, True began his career as an area director for a global educational services company, leading teams to achieve sales, profit, and customer satisfaction targets. The first regional team he led achieved the #2 ranking for revenue growth in the Western United States. This led to subsequent promotions to larger territories, where he exceeded targets across metrics ranging from profit growth to customer and employee satisfaction. He went on to build and lead sales, marketing, and operations teams in the engineering services, computer hardware, and food products industries before becoming a facilitator, coach, and consultant.
With over 20 years of international work experience as a specialist in coaching multicultural teams, True brings a global perspective to his work as a facilitator and coach. He has extensive training in intercultural leadership, collaboration, and communication.
True was mentored from a young age by a neuroscientist, resulting in a passion for applying psychology and neuroscience to leadership effectiveness and a strong interest in the application of evidence-based methodologies in his executive and team coaching work. He is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and regularly donates his time to mentoring graduate students and coaches and facilitators in the earlier stages of career development.
