Martha is an Executive Advisor and Coach in Talent Development and Learning and is the former Chief Talent Development Officer for Comcast Cable. She is a Senior Executive Coach with Aiir Consulting, serves on their Elevate Project Advisory Board, and is an Advisor to Cognota. Martha retired from Comcast in 2020 after serving 20 years, and she spent the first 25 years of her career in the defense industry as a Department of Army Civilian. Martha served as an adjunct professor and academic advisor in business and research for 13 years.
Martha served on the Global WICT Board of Directors for 12 years, chaired the for board three years, and continues to support WICT as a faculty member for its Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. She serves as a Talent Development Advisor to the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers’ (SCTE) Engineering and Technical Operations Committee and served on the Board of Directors for 13 years. Martha chairs the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) Educational Foundation Board and served on the Board for six years. She also served as an Advisor to The Cable Center’s Intrapreneurship Program Development Task Force. She is a 2021 Learning Fellow of the Elliott Masie Consortium and a former chair of the Association of Talent Development’s (ATD) Board of Directors. Martha is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Worldwide Institute for Action Learning.
Women in Cable and Telecommunications honored Martha with the annual Martha Soehren Veteran’s Fellowship Award, and she is the recipient of multiple Most Powerful Woman in Cable awards, the Woman to Watch Award, and a Woman Worth Watching in Diversity Journal. Martha is also the recipient of the WICT Leadership Award and the Catalyst Award from the Philadelphia WICT Chapter, and she is the recipient of Masie’s 2014 Learning Award.
