To this work, Mira brings 20+ years of experience in academia and healthcare, and an award-winning career in multiple leadership roles at the US Department of Veterans Affairs, one of the largest organizations in the United States.
As a consulting psychologist, Mira has spoken for thousands as an Associate Professor for Duke University’s School of Medicine and was past Associate Editor of the Consulting Psychology Journal. She also writes for the national online publication of Psychology Today. In 2020, she co-authored the acclaimed book for emerging leaders needing to navigate complex systems, Millennials’ Guide to Workplace Politics: What No One Ever Told Your About Power and Influence. Mira’s commitment to advocacy and empowerment of women’s leadership and inclusive leadership practices earned her company the 2021 Corporate Philanthropy Award from Triangle Business Journal, and she was named, 2022 Top 50 Influential Women of the Triangle. Mira also serves on multiple advisory boards in alignment with these social impact values.
With deep education in leadership and organization development, Mira is a licensed psychologist who holds a PhD in clinical psychology, a Master’s degree in counseling, and certificates in business essentials; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); Lean Six Sigma; and Transformational and Mentor Coaching.
