Derek Lusk is based in Chicago and is Head of Executive Assessment at AIIR Consulting. In this role, he helps Fortune 500 organizations use the science of leadership to improve performance at the executive level. He has a strong track record of assisting organizations with succession planning, executive transitions, diversity and inclusion, and culture change initiatives. His thought leadership includes academic journal articles on leadership emergence, versatility, and teamwork, as well as contributions to the Harvard Business Review. He holds an MBA from Indiana University and a Ph.D. in Business Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where he wrote a dissertation on why executive leaders fail. When not at AIIR, Derek enjoys daddy-daughter dates with his five-year-old and spending time with his high school sweetheart of 20 years.
